Volunteer Application

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Joplin Historical Neighborhoods Museum. We greatly value members of the community who are passionate about Joplin history — our volunteers offer a level of authenticity and life to the museum experience. All volunteers will be trained in one or more areas that most interest them.

Please note that we do ask all of our volunteers to become museum members (starting at $25/year), and we require background checks of all applicants.

Some of the volunteer needs involve the following tasks (we will discuss your preferences in a follow-up interview):
  • Docent/Tour Guide
  • House Hosts
  • Greeters and Ticket Sales
  • Gift Shop Assistant
  • Event & Holiday Hosts
  • Special Events & Annual Museum Gala
  • Assist with School Tours

 

We ask that all volunteers be museum members ($35/year). If you are not yet a member, after submitting this form, kindly proceed to the Support > Membership page and sign up to become a member today.
