JHN Neighborhood Ice Breaker
Joplin Historical Neighborhoods (JHN) invited the Murphysburg neighborhood to cool off with a sweet treat on Saturday, September 1, at the Schifferdecker home. Residents were encouraged to stop by the house in the afternoon and enjoy a complimentary Kona Ice snow cone and JHN hard hat for the kids. Additionally, Preservation Director and Curator Brad Belk offered several neighbors a behind-the-scenes tour of the progress of the preservation project. Belk said, “This was an opportunity for us to show our appreciation to the neighborhood and bring them together for a bit of end-of-summer fun.”
